During the press conference, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense and Security of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mukhtar Yerman, informed the audience in detail about the upcoming event. He announced the growing interest of the Eurasian countries in this forum, noting a record number of participants (the exact number will be announced tomorrow at the event).
The Kazakhstan deputy noted that the Forum is a good dialogue platform for exchanging views on a wide range of issues of interaction between the countries of Eurasia. He drew the attention of journalists to the topic of the event “Greater Eurasia: Dialogue. Trust. Partnership”, which is very relevant in the light of tension in relations, economic sanctions, trade confrontation between major players of the international community. He emphasized that the topic of “Greater Eurasia” was identified by the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Leader N. Nazarbayev, at the UN General Assembly in 2015, and the idea of “Eurasianism” was voiced a quarter century ago in Moscow.
In addition, M. Yerman and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Vasilenko, answered journalists' questions about the foreign policy initiatives of Leader N. Nazarbayev and President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, in particular, in the areas of nuclear non-proliferation, organization of the Three D dialogue, international security, regional cooperation in Central Asia, on bilateral relations of Kazakhstan with China, Russia, the EU, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and others, as well as on attracting investments, digitalization, green energy etc.
