On November 8, 2017 Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Malaysia H.E. Daniyar Sarekenov held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Retirement Fund «KWAP» Dato' Wan Kamaruzaman and Group Managing Director of «MRCB» company Tan Sri Mohamad Salim.
Reference: «KWAP» is Malaysia's second largest pension fund with a total fund size about 30 bln. USD. As part of the management of pension savings, the Fund pursues an investment activity inside the country and abroad. To date, «MRCB» is one of the country's leading companies in the field of construction, infrastructure and engineering.
During the meeting, the investment climate, industrial and innovative projects of Kazakhstan were presented, the parties also discussed the prospects for investment cooperation, including the possible participation of «KWAP» and «MRCB» in the State Privatization Program for 2016-2020.
Following the discussion, Dato' Wan Kamaruzaman and Tan Sri Mohamad Salim have expressed interest in expanding cooperation with the Kazakhstan side, as well as their readiness to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan in December this year to discuss the potential joint projects with the Executives of the National Welfare Fund «Samruk-Kazyna», the Akimat of Astana, the International Financial Center Astana and the National Company «Kazakh Invest».
