On November 29, 2017, a lecture was held by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Samat Ordabayev for the faculty and students of the Institute of International Relations T.Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
The head of the diplomatic mission of Kazakhstan thoroughly acquainted the audience with the main achievements of Kazakhstan during the years of Independence, foreign policy priorities and international initiatives of our country, the results of the International Expo EXPO-2017 and the peculiarities of the work of the Astana International Financial Center.
The subject of the audience's special interest was information on the implementation of economic and political reforms held in Kazakhstan in the framework of the President Nazarbayev's Message "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness", as well as the installation of the Kazakhstan Leader to modernize the public consciousness of Kazakhstanis.
The ambassador focused the students' attention on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev – the "Bolashak" programme, in which over 12.5 thousand highly qualified specialists in various fields have already been trained in world leading universities.
The head of the mission dwelled in details on the prospects for the development of Kazakh-Ukrainian relations. "I think that the most promising interaction is the creation of joint Kazakh-Ukrainian enterprises. This approach allows Ukrainian producers, using the advanced transport and logistics infrastructure of Kazakhstan, to solve the issues of access of Ukrainian products to the markets of Central Asia, China, Iran and the Middle East," stressed the Ambassador.
The final part of the meeting was held in a dialogue format. The Ambassador gave exhaustive answers to the questions of students and teachers in the field of foreign and domestic policy, the development of Kazakhstan's export-industrial potential and the prospects for Kazakh-Ukrainian relations.
