SEOUL, October 8, 2018 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakyt Dyussenbayev, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in.
During this ceremony, Ambassador Dyussenbayev commended the high level of strategic partnership between the two countries and the consistent policy of Astana towards the comprehensive strengthening of Kazakh-Korean cooperation.
The Ambassador also welcomed the efforts of the leadership of South Korea to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula and enhance global security. Ambassador Dyussenbayev noted that Kazakhstan, as a country that was affected by the consequences of nuclear tests and voluntarily abandoned its nuclear arsenal, adheres to the fact that there is no alternative to a peaceful dialogue in solving the nuclear issue of North Korea and is ready to share its experience on denuclearization.
The President of South Korea commended the country's development under the leadership of President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, and reaffirmed the commitment of South Korea to further enhance bilateral cooperation with Kazakhstan in areas with highest priority for both states. The South Korean president confirmed his intention to visit Kazakhstan in the near future.
