On January 24, 2018, on the shore of the picturesque Lake Unguris hosted a Kazakh-Lithuanian business forum dedicated to the development of business ties between the two countries, as well as the prospects for development of cooperation in tourism, on the eve of the opening of direct air communication between Astana and Vilnius.
The business forum itself created a unique networking platform where Lithuanian officials, investors, hospitality and sports industry workers, Fintech and IT start-ups, transport and logistics companies were represented.
The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Lithuania initiated a discussion of unique opportunities that are opened for business circles in the context of the implementation of the tasks, set by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in his state of the Nation, aiming at adaptation in the new world - the world of the "Fourth Industrial Revolution".
Lithuanian businessmen showed an acute interest in establishing direct contacts with Kazakh partners, in construction, agriculture, sports industry, transport, and logistics.
A separate block of the work of the forum was dedicated to the forthcoming launch of direct air link between Astana and Vilnius.
The well-known Lithuanian health resorts and rehabilitation centers emphasized eagerness to cooperate and are waiting for Kazakhstan's tourists and partners.
At the same time, the tourist companies of Lithuania showed a keen interest in getting acquainted with Kazakhstan's tour operators.
The Lithuanian tourist cluster is ready to work out a joint strategy with Kazakhstan operators to organize regional passenger flows linking the regions of Northern and Eastern Europe with South-East and Central Asia.
