Kazakhstan is approved as a member of the UNCTAD’s Working Group

The Republic of Kazakhstan is approved as a member of the Working Group on the Strategic Framework and the Programme Budget for the period 2018 at the 64th session of the Trade and Development Board of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), held on 11-22 September 2017 in Geneva.

Kazakhstan along with Russia and Belarus have been nominated for the membership of the Working Group on the Strategic Framework and the Programme Budget by the Regional group D of the UNCTAD (Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia).

The Working Group is the main subsidiary body of the Trade and Development Board dealing with issues related to the implementation of the UNCTAD programs, in particular with their planning, oversee and evaluation.

Participation of Kazakhstan in the work of the Group will enable active involvement in the activities related to the UNCTAD technical assistance programs.
