​Kazakh Foreign Minister Meets First President of Mongolia

NUR-SULTAN, June 25, 2019 - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov recently met with First President of Mongolia Punsalmaagiin Ochirbat. Mr. Ochirbat was visiting Kazakhstan to participate in the Great Steppe Fourth Humanities Forum, organized by the International Turkic Academy.

During the negotiations, the sides noted the historical value of the Altai region for many nations, including the Turkic descendants.

The sides also discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for enhancing agricultural, geological and tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Reference: Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Mongolia in 2018 amounted to 74.4 million dollars. Exports accounted for 72.5 million dollars, and imports accounted for 1.9 million dollars. In 2017, mutual trade amounted to 74.8 million dollars.
