Kazakh ambassador presents credentials to Serbian president

           BELGRADE, October 24, 2019 - An official ceremony of presenting credentials by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gabit Syzdykbekov, to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, was held in the Palace of Serbia.

During the bilateral meeting held after the ceremony, Ambassador Syzdykbekov informed the President of Serbia about the socio-economic situation in Kazakhstan, measures for further reforming the country and developing Kazakhstan's society as outlined by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his State of the Nation Address in September. 

The sides welcomed the high potential of bilateral cooperation in all areas of practical collaboration, primarily in the areas of mutual trade and investment, construction and infrastructure. 

In this context, emphasis is being put on making the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation more effective.

The Kazakh Ambassador noted that the planned signing of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU countries and Serbia would enhance both bilateral and multilateral trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Serbia.

Moreover, pertinent issues of the development of mutually beneficial contacts in the cultural and humanitarian areas were discussed, primarily in higher and vocational education, sports and mutual visits of groups of performers.

The President of Serbia, while noting the high level of bilateral relations, expressed his readiness to further strengthen and develop traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and organize mutual visits at the high and summit levels.

At the end of the meeting, Aleksandar Vučić wished the Ambassador of Kazakhstan successful and fruitful work.
